National Tourism Month and Cedar Valley Tourism Awards

Every May, the Cedar Valley celebrates National Tourism Month by honoring local attractions and tourism-related businesses and organizations.
This year, in the spirit of customer service, our celebration was threefold. On May 3, the Cedar Falls Tourism & Visitors Bureau hosted a special Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast at the Cedar Falls Visitor Center. On May 4, the Cedar Valley’s annual Tourism Awards Ceremony was held at the renovated Island Park Beach House in Cedar Falls. And, on May 5, Kit Welchlin shared his wealth of experience in a training session about Customer Service at the Waterloo Elks Club.
We’d like to thank everyone who took part in this year’s events. We’d also like to congratulate the recipients of this year’s Cedar Valley Tourism Awards!
