Cedar Falls RAGBRAI Committee Announces Plans for Overnight Stop

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – RAGBRAI is coming to Cedar Falls. As an overnight town, the community will host thousands of participants, which is a perfect opportunity to share civic pride and invite visitors to return to Cedar Falls in the future. All Cedar Falls RAGBRAI details and updates will be located at cedarfallsragbrai.org as they become available.
"We are thrilled to welcome cyclists from across Iowa and across the globe to Cedar Falls this summer! You don't have to look very hard to see our community's history and love for cycling and hosting RAGBRAI this year is a great opportunity for us to show that love," said Cedar Falls Mayor Danny Laudick. "It is also a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase downtown, our beautiful trail network, and everything that makes Cedar Falls an incredible city for outdoor recreation."
Location
The main entertainment will take place in the Cedar Falls Downtown District. Campgrounds and additional parking will be determined in the coming months.
Volunteers
Volunteers will be needed to provide an excellent experience for riders and their support teams. Area residents can indicate interest by registering on the volunteer form at cedarfallsragbrai.org.
Housing Hosts
During the most recent Cedar Falls RAGBRI stop in 2015, hundreds of requests for lawn space or residential accommodations were met. Those interested in hosting riders at their home for this year’s event should indicate interest at cedarfallsragbrai.org.
Steering Committee
Cedar Falls RAGBRAI efforts are being led by the City of Cedar Falls, including its Tourism division, and Community Main Street. Community volunteers will be essential in filling additional committee roles.
