Mohair Pear, Barn Happy, Ivy Trellis, Hatchings & Hens, the Hearst Center for the Arts, the Cedar Falls Visitor Center and many other shops sell perfectly-sized stocking stuffers that are made right here in Iowa!
Barn Happy, Iowa’s Outstanding Retail Experience, is filled with a plethora of products made in Iowa. You will find jewelry, rugs, socks, aprons, cutting boards and more. Their gift shop is packed with goodies! If you’re shopping for the gourmet in your family, Barn Happy doesn’t disappoint. You’ll find locally produced wine, honey, jarred condiments, caramels, jams and a host of other products that display the state of Iowa.
Mohair Pear on College Hill is also one of those stores with gifts galore. Want a t-shirt or gift that says Iowa? They have that. They also carry products made in Iowa including tea towels made by local artisan, Kate Brennan Hall.
Several stores in the downtown district of Cedar Falls such as Hatchlings & Hens and Vintage Iron sell t-shirts, tea towels, soaps and candles made in Iowa. Recently, Hatchlings & Hens partnered with several artisans for their Home-Made for the Holidays event with several artisans on site selling handmade items. Often, they also host Try Pie Saturdays!

If you’re traveling and want to take a hostess gift, you may also want to visit the gift shops at the Hearst Center for the Arts and the Cedar Falls Visitor Center. The Hearst Center of the Arts sells jewelry, stationery and books by local writers. At the Cedar Falls Visitor Center, you’ll find t-shirts with the new Cedar Falls logo as well as Fit-Pop popcorn, local books, artwork by Alice Dolgener, posters, and local postcards.
The list can go on and on! Hansen’s Dairy Outlet on 18th Street in Cedar Falls sells Iowa products and honey as well as their own ice cream, butter, cream and milk (not recommended for a stocking!) You’ll also find UNI Panther gear at University Book & Supply.
