Cedar Falls is well known as an exciting trail destination. Breweries, locally-owned restaurants, unique boutiques, and overnight accommodations are only a “hop” and a skip from trails in the Cedar Falls Downtown District, southern Cedar Falls, the area of College Square Mall and the University of Northern Iowa. Our beer trail is updated for 2023 and ready for you to explore!

Let’s add a beer trail to your adventure! Unique to Cedar Falls is the abundance of breweries and taprooms. Our Beer Trail Passport provides inspiration for exploring six of our local craft breweries and taprooms in Cedar Falls. Download our App to navigate the trail with ease. Click HERE for a suggested bike route and car route. Bike or drive responsibly to each destination on the trail and be sure to stop and dine like a local and explore local, chef-inspired cuisine at award-winning restaurants.

What’s the connection between bikes and brews? Breweries support cycling and cyclists enjoy craft beer. It isn’t unusual to see bicycles crowded into racks in the Downtown District, along the outdoor patios or even hanging on the wall in Second State Brewing.

How does the Beer Trail Passport work? The Cedar Falls Beer Trail showcases our local craft breweries and taprooms in Cedar Falls celebrating the safe use of our extensive, 130-mile trail system.

To begin your adventure on the Cedar Falls Beer Trail, pick up a passport at one of our six participating breweries/taprooms or print a passport at home by clicking HERE. Each passport may be used by one person age 21 or older.

Next, ask your waitress or bartender to stamp your passport when you visit any of the seven destinations and purchase a craft beer. The breweries and taprooms will also gladly stamp your passport whether you’re sipping an IPA, a soda, or other non-alcoholic beverage. . .
