If you're looking for a new outdoor activity to enjoy with the children in your life, it's time to visit the new Storywalk® at Big Woods Lake in Cedar Falls!

A Storywalk® offers a unique way to enjoy a story while on a walk. Pages from storybooks are displayed in weather-proof frames along a trail, accompanied by activity guides. Kids will love the combination of reading and outdoor adventure! Head over to Big Woods Lake at 1501 East Lake Street to experience vibrant stories in an exciting new format. Each season, the Storywalk® features a different book, keeping the experience fresh and engaging.

The walk is a short ¼ mile, taking about 10-20 minutes, and is stroller-friendly. Although designed for children ages 3-12, it's fun for all ages. With eleven stops along the route, kids are encouraged to keep moving and stay engaged. This is a fantastic way to foster a love of reading, enjoy nature, and stay active!

Plan your visit and learn more at Cedar Falls Library Storywalks.

The Storywalk® at Big Woods Lake is a collaboration between the Cedar Falls Public Library, the City of Cedar Falls, and the Community Foundation.
