More than 25 high school marching bands will be at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls for Bands of America Championships on September 28.
Music for All is national music education organization that advocates for arts education and music for all through programming that includes exciting events like marching band competitions through their division called Bands of America. Between September 21 and November 16, marching bands will be competing regionally, at Super Regionals and at the Grand National Championship in Indianapolis. Each show offers positive, life-changing experiences for students, teachers and family members of participants. Since its inception in 1976, more than 1 million people are now alumni of Bands of America marching band events.
At the regional championship held in Cedar Falls, up to 32 bands will perform in a preliminary competition with 10 bands advancing to the evening finals. This will the first Bands of America competition held in Iowa and more than 8,000 people are anticipated for this one day event.
Spectators are encouraged to attend and tickets can be purchased online by clicking HERE.
